Sega Girls School

Busy weekend. I worked two bar mitzvahs, celebrated a friend's birthday and participated in a walkathon. Well I didn't really participate, I took the pictures. The walkathon was for Nurturing Minds in conjunction with the Sega Girls School in Tanzania. My son's former teacher is passionate about the cause and is bringing a much needed awareness to Westport and beyond. It was a hot Sunday morning but there was a big crowd of all ages. The most fascinating part was meeting the two teachers from the Sega Girls School who walked with us. It was their first time in America. Talk about culture shock! They were intelligent and soft spoken with open hearts and they loved walking in Westport and getting to know their new supporters.

My favorite Westport teacher meets Clementina, one of the teachers from Tanzania.

Anok, a wise and kind teacher from Tanzania

She wasn't walking but it still counted!

One of the first to finish!

Relaxing after the long walk.

Please check out the link below for Nurturing Minds and the Sega Girls School. It's a wonderful cause and so little can make such a difference.
