I guess you all know by now I have a thing for teenagers. Today is no exception. Last week we all found out that Justin, a freshman at Staples was diagnosed with Leukemia. Obviously there was shock and sadness. Facebook pages lit up with love and support. Signs with well wishes were posted in school and stories of Justin's humor and character were told. But the thing that got me was how the freshman class came together. Everyone became friends, everyone was little nicer to one another. It wasn't about cliques anymore or even who was a real friend to Justin. That all melted away and these supposedly self centered Westport kids showed their true colors for one of their own. The kids planned a group photo for Justin with everyone wearing purple (Justin's favorite color) or orange for Leukemia and when I took the picture it was like one big happy family. 1-2-3 JUSTIN!
