The other day I showed my husband this photo I took of the sun peeking through the trees at Long Shore. He said he loved the colors and the sense of calm. The following evening an image I took in Manhattan showed up on my screensaver. My teenage kids noticed it and said "cool". They loved the colors of the night and the sense of energy. Is that indicative of the differences in the generations or am I over thinking things as usual?

That's a good question... My theory; our children are surrounded by so much natural beauty here in Westport they've become somewhat numb/oblivious to it. While the city provides excitement and a break from their daily life that all teenagers seek. I think they will need to leave and come back to truly appreciate what we have here!
