The first year in a child's life always amazes me. The biggest changes occur during those precious twelve months making the first birthday wondrous but also bittersweet. I love you Baby Alice.
Looking for things to do next time you have some friends over? My advice, Tug of War! We started with kids vs. kids, then the moms took on the daughters and when the adults started competing against one another, we couldn't get them to quit!
Someone told me to never put other people's pics on your photography blog but...
I am not a big fan of the Olympics but the images I have been seeing are so beautiful and filled with emotion I can't stop looking at them. Here is the link I've been checking every day. Enjoy.
Not my best pic but it's certainly my best gift ever. It's from my birthday last year; a peanut butter sandwich wrapped in Christmas paper made my then four year old niece Soleil.
Just a sweet little redhead to start your week off right. His parents are dear friends of mine and though I don't see them often enough, their little guy told me I could take home any lawnmower I wanted from his garage. I was hoping for the snowblower.
I was too busy to visit The High Line in Manhattan this spring with the dozens of tulips and seasonal blooms but not to fear, summer is just so lush and inviting. If you still haven't gone for a stroll up there, go now. My next visit will be at sunset because it's open until 11:00pm every night!
My sister is not a girlie girl so she refuses to put bows in baby Alice's hair (especially when at the moment there is so little of it). So while my sister slept this afternoon, I found an old bow of my daughter's, put it in baby Alice's hair and quickly took a pic. Shh!
I worked an event the other night for mp designs. I am totally not a jewelry lover but the pieces were so beautiful and different that I just had to share. Every piece is handmade locally with agate and other precious stones. I am wearing my new purchase now and not taking it off!
If you have any interest in purchasing this fabulous jewelry, mp designs is reworking their website so email them at info@micheleandpameladesigns.com and tell them you heard of mp designs on my blog!
My only nephew graduated from Staples High School today. There are a million things I could say right now about how wonderful he is and how proud I am of him and how this is a beginning not an ending but I won't bore you with the mushy stuff. Just a shout out to Andrew Rada Medina and everyone in the class of 2012. Enjoy the moment- YOLO! (as the kids would say)
