With a full day of rain yesterday and today's wind, the leaves are really starting to fall. So I grabbed my camera and tried to catch what's left of the foliage before it disappears for another year.

Why is this beautiful little flower blooming in fall?

Look who else was out taking pics!

I Hate Birds

I hate birds but we had a bird's nest at my house this month with beautiful blue eggs in it. My dad thought it would be nice if I took some pics of the nest every few days and post the pics.
 So here they are. YUCK!

Sp pretty. They look like Easter eggs.

Proud mama and it looks like she's already lost the baby weight! :)

The Manhattan Bridge

I went to a party on a rooftop in Dumbo, Brooklyn last night and the view was incredible.

We got there just as the sun set.

When the sun was gone and the city lights came on, the sky turned an electric blue
 and everybody wanted a picture.

By 11pm the sky was black.

A couple of kids from the party had an even better view- from the top of an NYC billboard!

Bronx Botanical Garden

My sister, Alice and I spent the day at the Bronx Botanical Garden.
Here are a few pics from the day.

Thats a big peony!

I don't know what these are but they were sweet and delicate.

No idea what this cool, island looking flower is.

Which is taller, Alice or the tulip?

The gardens were so lush.

This is a very a tall tree.
(or is Alice just very small?)

Dr Seuss flowers?

Alice's favorite flower of the day.

Thank you Sandra

My friend Sandra gave my flowers today. She didn't have a reason; I hadn't been sick, she wasn't saying thank you. They were just a little pick me up to brighten the day. What a nice gesture.
Thank you Sandra
